Quick Question For Florida Landlords

From what i can gather, the laws for ending a lease a tenant state it is based on the length of the lease agreement. 1 year lease=60 days, quarter to quarter=30 days, month to month=15 days, week to week=7 days. Do individual counties have their own requirements? I'm not talking about an eviction, just a normal lease termination. thanks :) becki

It should be the same in all counties. If any question, just call your county and ask for details.

The law in Florida is simple. In the absence of a lease, landlord must give a notice to the tenant equal to the term rent is paid. If rent is paid every thirty days, then a thirty day notice is all that is required. Otherewise the notice period is determined by the lease.
