Quick Question About Sec 8
I was reading some of the threads about S8, and I suddenly have a question. Hope some S8 experts can help me out.
I close on Fri on a house with a S8 tenant in place. Her S8 lease is up in July, and I do not plan to renew it, choosing instead to clean the house up and re-rent it myself non-S8. (The neighbors love me already.)
What do I need to do to or for or about this tenant and S8, now that I will own this prop on Friday? I am sure I need to notify her that her lease will not be renewed as soon as possible. Do I need to contact HUD and make sure they send their payments to me? What do I say to the tenant?
What would you do in this situation?
