Notice To Pay Or Quit

Bergs profile photo

I need a copy of a notice to pay rent or quit that will work in Texas. I have tenants that are being extremely difficult to deal with. I just want to see what forms work best in this situation.
Thanks,
Andy

go to your RE club and find an attorney that specializes in evictions and charges a flat fee. Then watch carefully how it is done in your state and you can copy him next time.

You can get these from your clerk of courts office too.

    Berg,

What part of TX? What kind of prop. do you own?

What do you think are good cities to invest in?

    I also live in CA.

On you letter, have you tried to talk and find out why from the tenant? Do you have a local PM? They might have some problem paying this month. Now like you said if they are not paying rents for many months that you have to send them the letter, and possibly do the eviction but you want to talk to an attorney there.

    Berg,
I would look for a process server in the area of your rental. I use one and they only charge me $35 for server the complaint and handle the paperwork. The process server was very knowledge about evictions and extremely helpful. I'm sure in your case they would work something out to handle the entire process. Your only problem is showing up to court but I expect you have a property management company to handle that.
