Need Advice On Holdover
My NJ tenant's lease is expiring on Sept 30th and they have still not found alternate rentals. I have sent them a letter more than 4 moths ago reminding them of the lease expiration and my intention to occupy the premises for personal use.
What options are available to me if the tenant does not vacate on the said date ?
Currently I am renting an apt and my lease also expires on Sept 30. I need to move back to my house at the end of this.

file for eviction....make sure you file the paperwork on oct 1st. ...
Post notice, and be sure it complies with your states law. (NC requires 10 days, others 3 days, etc) If they aresn't out , then proceed directly to courthouse and file eviction papers. It will take a while for the process, so start ASAP
