Lease Template Needed

 profile photo

Does anyone have a lease "template" or copy of one....but with wording more advantageous to a landlord? In particular, regarding repair policies, a nice way to say that if you break it...you basically have to replace it, etc? something with some very strict and specific clauses.

Thanks!

The very best lease agreement will be the one that you and your attorney draft together. It will be what you want and state specific.

If you want to look at some forms for ideas, we can do a search for 'lease agreement' and pull up several. Again, I don't recommend using anything 'as is' because it won't be state specific or exactly what YOU want.

    Hey,

Just a quick comment on leases.

Remember that no matter how well your attorney structures your lease, it will need to be amended over time (as you learn lessons about tenants).

For example, I had to add a section on how many keys are provided to tenants when they move in.
