Insurance Needed

Two of my insurance rejected me. One from Liberty Mutual. Liberty Mutual reasons "Number of insured rental dwellings exceeds Personal Market acceptability requirements". Another one from Balboa Ins Co. They did not give any reason. Perhaps because of huricane.

Can anybody give any reference for good insurance company? Thx.

I'm not sure if these companies do business where you are or not, but try Nationwide, Farm Bureau, or Carrington Insurance.

Check if your local REIA-type group has an Agent-member...Scottsdale may also be a "last resort", as they are a Excess & Surplus option ("high risk"..not my opinion, just how the market plays now). Best regards,

You need to talk to one of your larger insurance companies and ask for an agent that deals with commercial insurance.

Another option if all of your properties are owned by you personally or by the same entity is to use a reporting type form rather than a one shot policy for each property. This will combine your rental insurance to one policy for all properties.

Just go out there and find a good insurance agent.

...Amen. The companies are only as good as the agents you find that represent them...[ Edited by norrist on Date 09/13/2004 ]
