I have a rental in Kissimmee, I need some help with setting up immediate needed repairs, Roof, Interior ceilings etc... :-?

The bad news is that every local contractor for miles is swamped with this exact same request.
The good news is that even as I write this a veritable army of contractors, laborers and other carpet baggers is headed toward florida planning on cashing in on the huge amount of work to be done. Put up a big sign in front of your house, the guys you need will be driving by soon.
The bad news is that some of these guys are less than competent and will need supervision. If you don't know how to evaluate whether the work is good or not look around for some local retired contractor who doesn't swing hammers anymore to supervise your band of gypsies. Surely there are some of those in Florida.

Good luck. I've got a condo in Winter Park that's a total loss, the upstairs condo's roof blew off and thanks to tons of everyday rain, I have a whole new ecosystem growing in my place, even had water running out of all the electrical sockets. Since we can't do any repairs til the roof is fixed, my hands are tied, helll, i don't know how we're going to repair that sort of mold damage. The association can't' find anyone qualified to do the work (and that's just for the ROOF) , there's a bidding war out there for contractors and those with the most cash to offer win. AND.....due to the new home frenzie in FL and the rebuilding of Iraq, all building supplies are next to nil. Can't even find tarps, for pete's sake, Hope you'll have better luck since it's not such a large scale project, in my community there are over 10 roofs that need to be replaced. It's pretty sad, too....there are lots of condemned signs popping up in front of apartments, condos and homes.

We have a friend in Kentucky that had storm damage last year and they had to pay "cash" to get a contractor over to fix their roof. He charged 50K and I think that was about 5 times the norm for the repair.
Is there any hope of doing it yourself? or like Ck said, find an old contractor that can show you how to do it?
The money is lucrative enough being a storm gypsy that many contractors follow them for a living, I have thought about sending my crew on the road for a three hundred percent markup
How were you planning on paying for the repairs? I am sure that would make a big difference as well, I know that I would be leary of entering a storm damaged area and performing work where I was unsure of whether I would get paid or not

Thank you all for your responses, I hAve Home Depot taking a look at it Wed. 8/25. Hopefully they won't gauge, and may be quciker. I also have mold growing from daily rain, and FEMA was there for tenant assistance, they mentioned to her it may be condemned. If it is not sure what next step will be....
