Eviction Of An Arrested Drug User

Here is a good one. I purchased a four-plex several months ago with tenants already occupying the property. One of those tenants is three months past due on her rent. I threatened eviction about a month ago and got a song and dance that she would get the rent to me. I started the eviction process a couple of weeks ago. Today the cops raided the place and arrested her and her buddies on drug charges. My question is, since she has effectivly vacated the premises after being asked to leave, can I legally take possession of the premises before having to pay the expense of a lawyer to goto court.



Thoughts?

    We handle it similar to finniganps. Cuts down on the trips for sure.

    I own properties in Myrtle Beach, SC. I put an OPEN House Sign out on the Street and one in Front of the House. I made myself busy sprucing up outside and people stopped by. I rented both properties that way. I received more calls from the signs versus the newspaper. Seems you have to hit the newspaper just right.
