Avoiding Closing Costs

In January I will be closing on my first two properties. I am wondering if there is any way to avoid closing costs.

You could have asked the seller to pay them. Some lenders allow seller contributions up to 6%. If you have already signed a contract though it will tough to renegotiate.

Luckily I did not sign contracts yet. I will ask the seller if it is possible for him to pay closing costs. Thanks!

I would have your attorney call the seller's attorney and aske for 2 or 3% increase of the purchase price and having the seller put that money towards your closing costs. I think it's a reasonable request for a buyer...

    Good Luck!
