Sheriff Sales

Done one? Answer this question if you have, or if you are a lawyer. Actual scenario:(BACKGROUND INFO) Sheriff sale is being held soon on a great property (no mortgage)where a separated wife left her matrimonial home and rang up some credit card debts. Judgement against her led to the sheriff sale.Husband lives in house.Question: If I am the successful bidder, and the sheriff pays off her creditors, I am aware that the Quick Claim Deed gives me 50% interest in the equity of the property but does the wife still have 50% claim to her matrimonial home?
