Hi i am new to the forum, but i was wondering if someone could clarify exactly what to ask for and where to go in the county court house for mortagage notes. Also id like to know some of the storys people have had on there first trys with the notes bussiness. It is legal to "assign" notes , without any type of certification is it not?

Are you looking to buy notes for the income stream? Yes, notes can be assigned when they are sold. I used to buy notes at a discount years ago and had a good income from them, however, the due diligence on notes is substantial. At the time I was buying there were quite a few seller carry-backs and the interest rates were at least 9%. Perhaps you will get some responses from people who have been buying more recently.

Hey , thanks for replying, i meant assigning notes for an assignment fee, id like to try doing that , and was wondering what the specific resouce i would be looking at in the recorders office is called (so i can ask for it specifically )....and possibly some first time tips.

basically finding private portgage note sellers (or potincial ones) and being able to find funding sources for them , working in a fee for myself in the process.
