Info On Rebalancing Investment Port. With Mort...

JWatkins profile photo

I have not been investing in dicounted notes, but after looking around it seems like a good way to rebalance a heavily concentrated portfolio. Other than e-mailing some of the boards and individuals with websites, what are my options for getting some notes to look at for possible purchase.

I am not really interested in birdogging the notes myself, I really am just looking for a better rate of return than what I can get in the bond market with relatively high quality notes.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

What quality of mortgage notes are you seeking...performing or non performing..are you looking to hold for a long time or deep discount?

From what he is trying to do i would say performing long term notes would be best...unfortunately i dont know where to buy good ones

Long or short term performing notes with a strong LTV are what I would prefer.

The deal is, I am looking at this like a bond situation so the stream is what is important to me rather than a possible foreclosure.
