Getting Started

Prospero profile photo

Hi guys, I'm a college student right now and i'm really interested in doing real estate. However, my time is limited and from the options it looked like Note Investing would be the least time consuming while still giving me a feel for real estate.

I know a little bit about the business, but i would really like to learn more and find a way to get started. Any advice on where to look or how to get starrted?

Thanks abunch everyone 8-)

    Hi Prospero,

Are you thinking about buying the notes and holding them for your own cash flow purposes? They are a good investment when you find the right ones.

However, it does take time to find the note sellers. Do you have some idea how you are going to locate them? Do you have funds for marketing, advertising?

There are so many ways to go, but they do take time so that would be your first concern - how much time will you be able to dedicate finding note sellers?

I spend most all day on the phone looking for note holders and many times they are not ready to sell. So I just want to caution you, it is not as easy as a lot of people make it out to be. It takes a lot of follow up and major persistence.

I wish I could tell you how easy and fast it happens, but it really doesn't.

I do wish you the best of luck and hope you can find a way to do this to make it work for you...I don't want to discourage you, but just make you aware.
