Ernest Money Note
I have seen some people talk about an ernest money note. Does anyone have any examples of these?
In what type of situations are you using them?
I am trying to buy a property from a bank that takes forever to get back to us and instead of writing out a check everytime, I would rather just give them the note.
I don't like to use notes as earnest money. It defeats the purpose.
Instead add to your contract that $XXXX earnest money will be given upon the acceptance of the offer. You can even go so far as write out a check and include a photocopy.
Any office supply store will have a pad of Promisory notes for sale.
