When Can I Raise Lot Rents In FL MHP?
Anybody have any idea on this? I am moving ahead with buying a small park but need to know the laws on raising the rents. The rent now is 150.00 per month. I would think that is low and could stand a bump to 200.00 or 250.00. I am going to look for a FL MHP lawyer today.
Laws vary from state to state on this. In many states you can't raise it more than 10% and you have to give 30 days notice.
Consulting a RE attorney is a good idea. Your local apartment association might be a cheaper alternative.
