Book Or Course Recommendations?

Diamond05 profile photo

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on books or courses dealing with commercial RE investing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks : )

I would start with Lead the Field...a true classic. Though not specific to REI, you will not regret getting it...

One book that is good for 10 units, "Make millions by buying small apartment properties in your spare time" Brian Freidman

Read, "How I turned $1,000 into $5 million in real estate, in my spare time" By William Nickerson. It is an oldy but still valid. It is an investment plan starting with 1 SFH to I believe a forty unti building. All about pyramidding your wealth.

    All the IREM stuff.

A good contract law course at your local community college

    A course on Excel

Find a good commercial loan broker and discuss underwriting.

Also, just recently I purchased "Investment Analysis For Real Estate Decisions" It is a textbook on the subject of REI, it was $30 on amazon. I am only about 25 pages into it, but holy moly. It is so dense with practical information I feel like some real estate super-being after a 10 page reading session. Next I would like to read something about market analysis.
