2nd Floor
Hi all,
I have an opportunity to buy a duplex. I am forecasting that the unit is in a good neighborhood and ,therefore, the property should appreciate well. I am considering building a second floor to the duplex.
Anyone has any idea how much such initiative would cost? (the property is about 2500 sqft)
it may be cost prohibited due to structural integrity... that is the additional added weight to a structure that was not originally designed for such...
get the advice of professionals...call some contractors and remodelers for quotes and feasibilty...

I agree with Dave, Your general contractor will also be familiar with builders and lenders that have worked together in the past, and be able to do your deal faster. If done right using one will also save you money by bidding the job out to multiple builders.
