Doublewide Insurance

JefferyChristman profile photo

I have recently purchased a Doublewide for renting out. I was only able to find one insurance company that would provide insurance for investment property doublewides. Their rates are outrageous... For 35k of insurance I'm paying more per year than on my 300k personal home. And that 35k doesn't even cover the replacement cost. Are there reasonable insurance companies out there that others use for doublewide rentals? Thank you, Jeff

Foremost may be able to help. Not sure in NC, though. Check with the dealer???

    Good luck,

Do you have Farm Bureau in NC ? You can add the liability to your homeowners policy in TN for 10 or 20 per yr. Then you can buy a landlord policy cheaper than you can get from anyone but Erie Ins. but our Erie Agent takes forever to come out ant take the pictures.

Be wary of tying your personal liability into a rental exposure...
