Check out sites like KnowX or just google "property search". It'll lead you in the right direction. There will be a nominal fee involved, but it will get you the info you need to get started.
Just like Hibby said go to the recorders office just make sure you know just how to locate it in relation to streets www.ect.Reason being in my county in Pa.addresses dont mean doodle only plot and map numbers.
I would just add that often the actual address of a property (i.e., the address under which it is listed in databases or records) differs from what it appears to be, either by street name or house #. Better to gauge how many properties it is from the nearest intersection so you can check parcel maps when you go to the courthouse. Also not a bad idea to check the properties on either side.
jjetts...just go to the county tax collectors site and pull up the address. It will give you the name and address of where the taxe bill is being delivered. Also try the county appraisers site.
You can also look on a reverse directory site and plug in the address and see what name pops up (you may get a phone number as well)

In Clearwater, for example, you would be calling the City of CLR Utility Customer Service to find out where the monthly utility bill (water, sewage, trash removal) is being sent. And, here in PGH, we would simply make a call to the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority to get the name on the bill and the address where it is being sent. It's usually a pretty good place to start and often will provide you with a substantial lead. Hope it works and best of luck to you.
