Thinking Of Advertising To Other Investors To......

jill_s profile photo

I have been thinking of advertising to other investors to do their mailing lists (stuff envelopes, hand written, addresses, stamp, etc) . on a weekly or monthly basis to fund my own advertising efforts.

Do you think this is a good idea? Would you pay someone else to do this? Why or why not?

Thanks,

Why would you want to do that and not invest in real estate or are you trying to market your services on this forum?

Let's see make a few $$$ for stuffing envelopes or make 10's of thousands of dollars investing in real estate!

It cost me 93¢ per letter that I send using NetPost Services and it's all done online, how would this fund your advertising expense? How would you provide a better service? What would you charge?

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I want to invest in real estate and I send my own mailers hand addresses etc and thought that I could do other investors also for like $88.00/100 letters to help fund my own advertising. News paper ad, Bandit signs, door hangers etc. You have a better responce with hand addresses lettres but few have the time to do it so I thought it may be a good idea. So I take it you think it is a bad idea?

    thanks J_S

So you will provide the printing, envelope, postage and all the rest to get out a marketing campaign for 88¢.

I look at it this way it's a time value money thing.

For me if one needs to supplement an investors advertising budget why not do something that would provide a larger amount of revenue like a part-time job at the deed office, realtor office, any thing real estate related.

Now I'm not kicking your ideal - shoot you may be able to make it a success! It just seems that your time as an investor would be more valuable locating real estate than stuffing envelopes for other investors.

Give you an example - I market expired listings by using www.realtor.com and just purchased a property for 24k yesterday by sending 3 letters and will sign a contract with another investor this afternoon netting $4,800 I have a total of 7 hours in this deal.

It's just a thought - I think your time is more valuable than the few cents you will make stuffing envelopes!

    Thanks John,

I do see your point. I have a rather LARGE marketing plan I would like to start and ideally I would like to do something from home so I can still take calls go see houses etc.

You do make a good point though. I think I will look into other options as well.

    Thanks a lot,
