Small Business License?
Hi. I'm new here and have a question. I am starting a very small at home business just for the holidays. I would like to advertise by putting out fliers on each door of my apartment building. Do I need a license for something so small? Do I need to register? How should I do so, if needed? All advice is much appreciated. :-D :-? null
You are probably looking to be a sole proprieter. If you business name doesn't include your last name then you need to file a form at your county recorder to indicate that you personally are doing business as your company name. It should cost under $10.
Other than that you don't need to do anything except file a schedule C tax return with your personal 1040
