RE Guru Robert Barry? Anyone Heard Of Him?

tmpringle301 profile photo

I am about to sit in with a salesperson from Robert Barry's mentoring program - and would like to know if anyone has any experience or feedback on his program. The cost is about 6K and I am reading some negative posts on different Guru websites.

Please help!

    Hey,

Lets apply a little common sense to this situation:

A RE Guru sells his mentoring program through SALESMEN (read commissioned salesman) for $6k. Why?

    Hi,
In my opinion you should skip the meeting all together. The fact that you'll be sitting with a salesman(whose concern is only to sell you the service) and that the price is outrageous should be setting off alarm bells. Here in Miami you could potentially buy a condo or townhouse for 6k at auction...I've done it.( here you homeowners and condo associations can foreclose for fees owed...you win the bid and pay off the fees and 10 days later youve got title. Its a bit more complicated but you get the idea.) Youd be better off finding a REI investing club in youre area and check thier website and attend some meetings...usually you might be able to find someone willing to mentor you and not charge you large sums of money up front. and instead split whatever deal they do while mentoring you. sorry for the long post hope it helped.

I also spoke with one of the sales agents with Robery Barrys group. To pay 6k for something I would rather learn my own way buy some books, and keep reading posts in the CREI. I have never heard anything good about Robert Barry, but I have never heard of anything bad either. Just my 2 cents
