any suggestion on how to do that when its on a barren strip of highway? do they rent the land from the state sometimes or does someone always own it?

In my area, its usually either Viacom or ClearChannel that owns the billboards.

I would try either of those companies. However this type of thing could be area specific. The way I can tell which board is by which company is simple. They simply have their company name near the bottom of the sign.

    Hope this helps some!

there is a Number (Not telephone number) on all billboards once you gt that call Lamar, viacom or Sun... the three majors and give them that number and they can tell you who owns it. [ Edited by IBuyHousesInc on Date 06/23/2005 ]

no one? does everyone pay money to get there name out? mailers are too much right now so i go door to door as a saver.

Craigslist and look for other local bulletin boards...

You may also consider starting some blogs to promote your product and services. They work really well and get indexed by search engines very quickly.

How would the newspaper insert post-it notes into the newspaper?

    Thanks.

Although I have not tried it myself, I have also heard of investors applying the sticky note to the front door. I suppose a sticky note on my door would get my attention. It would probably be more effective with a more targeted list and not just blanketing a neighborhood.

You never know until you test though.

I am meeting with an distrubtion service tomrw at 10:00. They delievery door to door flyers, door hangers, post-it notes. I am going to check out cost and marketing material. I am going to start the post-it because its cheaper and I like see how it goes. I will let you know.
