Ways To Find Lease/Options

Craigwarner profile photo

I have been on the phone all afternoon looking for lease/options. I have been calling houses for rent classifieds. Is there a classified add I can use, to get the calls coming to me? Maybe also use a 800 number to screen the calls.

I don't recommend prequalifying Sellers through a voicemail. Your ad should pull those who are at least moderately motivated, and then you should call everyone who responds and personally talk with each one of them. You won't get a lot of calls, so it won't take long. Why do you need a toll-free number? That's a waste of money and is also pretentious. If you are working the local market, you only need a local number. Use a simple message to get them to leave their number.

I've all ways been under the assumption that cold calling Renters and FSBO's are also a good source for finding LO's. Has this worked at all for you Lease Option King?

    Thanks a lot,

That will work--so long as you say the right things and never mention Lease Option, Lease Purchase, or Rent-To-Own over the phone. Meet them in person before dropping that bomb. Just determine motivation over the phone. Still, you have to be prepared for a lot of rejection. I prefer that they call me first instead. smile
