My father taught me to never buy cattle or horses after the sun goes down. I apply that to RE as well.
I agree with ITBInvestor that this is a trick question, so my input would be anytime that NAR is NOT pounding you with their advertising, that this is a great time to buy.

hmmm as of now since real estate industry is one of the most flourishing business then the right time to invest is when you have that enough financial resources and there are ways where you can make it a long term profit based.
