Newspaper Ads Are Pricey - Are They Worth The Money?
Hi all,
I am just starting out in the pretty house side of things, and am setting up a business for owner financing, lease options and options.
Now at almost $400 a month, for 30 days of an "I buy houses" 4 line ad, my question is : are people having success with this ? Would just a Fri, Sat, Sun ad be better?
-or- should I start out with signs and/or direct mail advertising?

I think I will try CraigsList, which I use all the time, but never thought about advertising real estate on!

My first time posting an ad the prices really shocked me. $370 for a five day ad. I could only afford one day and paid $60 for Sunday only. I think I paid an extra dollar to have it appear online as well. That was a week and a half ago and people are actually still calling even, though I found a tenant /buyer willing to wire me the deposit that first day. Another route I used that produced some results was Rentclicks. Some of the homes on that website are pure rentals, but I had some tenant/buyers contact me from that ad. It is relatively inexpensive, I believe it was about $35 for a ad running 30 days and you can upload 15 pics.
maybe refer the deal to another investor for a fee? better to get a little money from it than none at all.

Do you want to live in the house? If so there is a mortgage for everyone out there! No credit - No money - so what . But be prepared to suffer the cost of high payments.
Call a Realtor in you area. Better yet call a Broker selling in a depressed area - they know all the back door lenders.!
I agree with Craig - best to get some quick cash to help you in another deal. Go ahead and call - try to feel him out, see how "motivated" he really is.
