No, the seller will still owe the broker a fee whether you buy it or not. Go thru the agent, they really do know what they are doing and you will save yourself some grief

I should go through the listing agent even if I want to try and do a lease option, land contract ect?
I'm sorry, I just thought they only liked to do straight out selling.
