can anyone provide information on florida land lord laws. i have recently found out that my landlord (yes i am still renting)has not been paying the association fees to the condo i am living in. a policeman came to my door to make that announcement to me. What recourse do I have?

    Chaynes,
    You should probably consult a lawyer.
    However, the first thing I'd do would be to contact the landlord and tell them you were served and with what.
    ask them what they plan to do.
    If they have not paid HOA dues, they might be in financial trouble.
    Might be a good idea to check the mortgage status as well, and maybe, just maybe, if you like the place, buy it subject to.

    Certainly talk to a lawyer about your rights and obligations.

    There is a website that might really be a good resource for you to gather some info.
    This way you can gather some questions to ask the attny, and perhaps save some time.
