Has anyone ever assigned a L/O contract? If so, how did you do it and write it out? [addsig]

A simpler way is to put a clause in the
original lease giving you the right to assign and contemporaneously being released of all subsequent liability.

If you got a good price, which you always should, then you can justify a couple of grand or more to the purchaser of the contract.

Why would you assign? I just did two weeks ago, good price, good deal but took me 45 minutes to get there, without rush hour, too much of my time driving there to market and what not.

My standard lease/option paperwork is assignable. Just make sure your liability ends after you assign and get paid.

Does anyone have an example of a good right-to-assign clause that they like to include in their lease-option agreements? Thanks in advance.
