Trust Deeds In Connecticut?
Can anyone tell me if trust deeds are legal to use in Connecticut?
I am interested in doing some private lending and would prefer to use a TD for the security instrument rather than a mortgage because it is easier to foreclose, if that becomes necessary. I know mortgages are the standard here, but I wonder if a TD could be used if both parties agree?
And while I'm at it, can I use a cognovit promissory note in Connecticut?
