Property Ownership

My husband bought a condo around campus (Texas) recently. He did not add my name on the morgage since I am a student and do not have any income. Therefore my name is not shown up in the contract. Do I own the property? Our realter told us that my husband could add my name throught the title company. Does that make any difference? Thank you for your advice.
