Ownership Transfer To Corporation
I recently started a C-Investment Corp. I am looking for ways to improve my Corporate credit and assets so the Corp can eventually purchase properties. I have just recieved a credit card and now am looking at transfering a invesment property from my name to the corporation. Can anyone give me some advice on the process, can I just Quit Claim deed it to the Corp.?? What about the mortgage company??
Legally it's just a matter of your giving your corp a deed...but clearly you need to do some study and decide how to handle the existing loan, and what to do about it...whether to keep and pay it, refi it, etc.
In today's eco climate, it's extremely unlikely that your conveying it to your own corp would cause any problem with the lender...after all, you're still on the loan and will be until it's paid off.
