LLC In More Than One State.

Hello All,

We have an LLC in Texas and are now moving to California. We are thinking of setting up our LLC in CA while maintaining the LLC in TX. Is it better to register the LLC in CA as a domestic or Foreign LLC?

The reason I ask is that banks typically need your LLC to be at least two years old before they will even consider making a loan. If I start a new domestic LLC in CA (with the same name) will the banks look at the history of the TX LLC when considering the age of the business? Is there an advantage to having a Foreign LLC (TX LLC) doing business as "..." in CA?

Please let me know your thoughts on this simple but critical question.

Thanks,

JS.

why noytregister the TX LLC as doing business in CA? That would trigger the FTB 800/yr tax, but otherwise would seem to be the cheapest option.
