Lien? Foreclosure?
What is the likelihood of a HOA and its attorney's office forgiving/waiving some or all of the foreclosure fees acquired as a result of non-payment due to owner's death? My would be father-in-law passed, leaving my fiance with the house. My fiance was not aware of the HOA fees and did not pay -- since received a letter re: a lien on the home. Is there any way to pay the dues and ask that the late fees and such are waived?
