Legal For Electric Companies To Come Back On Lanlord For Payment?
I live in Wisconsin. Was wondering if it is legal for an electric company to come back onto the Landlord for a bill that a tenant has not paid? Just got done evicting a tenant and I am now stuck with a 320.65 electric bill. Any good ideas on how to avoid this or add something in the lease about this or maybe get a bigger security deposit? She had not paid rent either for over a month so I used the security deposit for that but now this bill comes up. Thanks.
In FL water bills attach to the property but power bills do not.
