How To Cloud Title
I know there are documents you can file to "cloud" the title to a property. I contacted a local title company and they too know there are such forms, but don't have any and have not done such a transaction. Can anyone tell me where to find a form or what wording to use?
This is a transaction that may be heading south and we have some funds outlayed that it appears they buyer will not reimburse so we want to cloud the title to try and be able to get paid if he sells to someone else, etc...

Many different documents are clouds on title. Mortgages, mechanic liens, lis pendens, etc.
However before you record something you should also know that if it is improper there are civil penalties for doing it wrong (called slander of title). So you need to be sure to get the right document-- I recommend a good attny.
