i live in charloote,nc.i have a rental house and i just evicted a tennant in http://www.october.they owed almost $ http://www.3000.the judge granted me possesion rights.she said if i wanted to seek a judgement for the $ i should appeal and go through another process(same court).i am somewhat interested in seeking judgement for the $ but nc is not a ll friendly state.however,i want to make sure this eviction at least ends up on their http://www.credit.the tennants didnt even show for court but their names were on the court docket for that http://www.day.they ran up utility bills, wrote bad checks--you name http://www.it.the dockett showed that they werent given a successful summons but their name and address for this specific eviction case was treated by judge as legally sufficient .

Once the matter becomes a part of the court records the credit bureaus gather court information and make it a part of their information file.

Don;t be so quick to shy away from the judgement - I own quite a bit of bad debt and NC is one of my favorite states - if you can prove they own a car, you can order a sheriff sale on their car!

Go get your judgement and you might just get lucky and get paid! Worst case it costs you $125 or so in court costs and next time someone is late with the rent you can give them a copy of the judgement as incentive to pay!
