Foreclosure And Personal Abandoned Property In Texas

I just bought a mortgage foreclosed home last Tuesday in a trustee auction. I have been told that it will take about 2 to 3 weeks to get the trustee deed after all post foreclosure checks and audits have been completed.
What concerns me is, I think there is some abandoned property in house. All blinds are closed and is hard to see for sure. The utilities have been turned-off by looking at the gas and electric meters, no running water. The grass and weeds are growing. Neighbors tell me, they have not seen the previous owners since December of 2004. So what do I do with this property when I get the deed and have the locksmith open the locks for me? Can I keep what I like and trash the rest of it or have to trash all of it? I am in Texas. I woul like to move-in as soon as possible as I am paying rent at a apartment. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
