FLA Question - Power Of Attorney Property Transfer

telemon profile photo

I have a property I am trying to sell in Fla, I have control of it through a power of attorney which is witnessed by one person and notarized.

I am told this POA is legal in fla, but the title company involved is throwing up a red flag stating that the POA must have two witnesses or they won't issue title insurance.

Q. Is it legal to transfer the property with the existing POA as stated is in Fla? (It's legal in Ohio), even if the title company will not issue title insurance?

Thanks in advance.

I bought a property in Fla via a POA signer and had no problems with title insurance.
Try another company - call and ask. Did you register the POA in the county the property is in
