Eviction

I am in CT. My wife and I are on the title. We are trying to evict someone but my wife was told by the clerk that both of us would have to be there in the court. She was also told that if an attorney processes it, neither of us would have to be there. I thought she could do it since she was on the title.

    I got one answer

You can have an attorney go to court for both owners if you'd like. Unless
testimony is required, an attorney is typically allowed to appear instead
of the property owenr(s). If you have no
attorney all parties typically must be present for court dates in civil and
    housing matters.

Should I take myself out of the title or form a LLC and let my wife run it?

    Thanks.

If this is the only purpose for your LLC just go ahead and hire an attny to do the eviction-- you are only talking a couple of hundred bucks maximum.

That is not the only purpose. I just wanted to know if that was one of the benfits, things of such nature is easier to do without me being there or not.

    Thanks.
