I would like to know if it is legal and/or ethical
to give the homeowner any money or consideration fee for helping them with a short sale....how and when do I do this legally?

but I have run into the fact that people are really uptight on signing agreements and NDA.
Maybe I just need to learn to stand my ground more firmly.
The initial, signed agreement only needs to be good enough to cloud the title to thwart other investors from poaching on your territory.
You can always perfect it later.
