Assigning Contract
I have a house under contract with the seller/owner. I have a investor that wants to buy the paper which is ok as I have added that to my original sales and purchase contract with the seller. My question is what form/s do I fill out to assign this contract to this other investor? He said he would pay me my share in 2 weeks. I am just looking to cover my self. Per the contract he must close by Dec 1st. Thank you for all your help. Dave P.S. I am in Florida.

You are looking for an assignment of contract or notice of assignment. Nothing fancy here. You should be able to find one in a form book at you local law library. I'm a big advocate of people familiarizing themselves with these form books. If you can't find it, PM me and I'll see what I can find. J[ Edited by jorge121 on Date 11/23/2003 ]
Thanks J. I have found a couple on the net. Do I need to record it with the clerck of court? I have a place on the form for a notary.
