Won Foreclosure Bid, When To Send Notice Of Eviction To Tenants

BmoreInvest profile photo

We purchased two properties at a foreclosure auction last Friday and both are occupied with tenants. Can I send a letter now to start the process of eviction or do I have to wait until the properties are ratified?

Also, what is the best process to remove the tenants? I have a form letter that requires the tenants to sign the letter to acknowledge that they have received notice to vacate and will receive “Cash for Keys” if the property is left in good condition. Is this a good strategy? Thank you for your help.

Thanks for the advice. I was not sure of the order. I have also been advised to contact the occupants immediately to offer them money in exchange for a clean and undamaged house as they depart. Have you ever used this procedure and were the results worth the additional investment?

When I had to give letters of eviction, I made sure to do this in person to confirm that the person living there does indeed receive the form.
