What Is This Property Sold For Last Time And When Did It Happen?

Perluser profile photo

Hi there Folks!

Want to ask a quick question:

If I know exact address of the property and it’s located too far away for me to get to the County Recorders Office in person, is there a way to find out for how much this property was sold last time and when?

Thanks,

Perluser.

    Yes there is.

Oh you want to know how? Very simple you call your friendly Real Estate Broker and you have him dial in the address on the MLS. There on his screen flashes all the information you need to know. He can do it with a simple Tax Search. It lists everything. Why get married when the MLS does everything.

    Cheers Lucius

    Thanks Lufos,

I have already asked a broker to get me comps. I was more interested if there is an alternative free source on the net besides MLS.

I appreciate you’re your response anyhow.

I've fou nd that many county offices have info available, Peluser. For example, Orange County FL has lots of useful stuff about previously recorded sale prices. So does Saginaw MI (neither site's the same set up though!) I don't know how often it's updated, try the assessor's(sp?) site for the county. I also found that the township site for where i live actually has tons of info on it regarding sale prices. Make sense, i was told the supervisor develops software.
Don't stop nosing around, while it's not uniform, seems there's lots of areas that are up and running with their info on the web.
    good luck
