Short Sale Question

nebulousd profile photo

A lady contacted me with her situation. The are in forclosure and the sale date is for the 30th....next week. I know the basics of short sales and got the required signatures. The payoff is ~79K to the bank and ~10 to lawyers. Do I call and request the short sale package and an extension of the sale date, or is it too late? I don't want to waste time if nothing can be done? confused

You can ask for an extension, you may also want to either get a cheaper payoff or have them rewrite the loan in your name to stave off the foreclosure entirely.

    Good Luck,
    Kyle

    Thanks,

But "loan" and "my name" never go in the same ****Must Reach Senior Investor status before posting URL's*** I did call them and it looks like they are being difficult and really not budging a whole lot. I requested an extension and they will want some more documents before they do that so we'll see what happens.

    Thanks again

i would submit an offer if you already have an idea of what you want to get it for and worry about the package later or better yet give them the basic information that you can get quickly and fax it with your offer to find out if they will consider your offer.
