Depends on your county (or the county in which the property is located) and their sophistication with online record-keeping. Where I live, all that information is available via the Clerk of Court's office online - you just have to know the address of the property, and you can locate just about any information at all about the owners.

Google your county for sources of online information.

Call your county assessor or tresurer. Ask them the same question.

I have found some areas using Google searches that publish lists of properties that have liens and are listed to go to sale. Some areas publish a post-mortem after the sale indicating which ones were actually sold. Not surprisingly most of these are unimproved lots.

I haven't purchased any of the products from taxsalelists . com but I've read through other posts they are a good source.

    Good Luck.
