Rehab Foreclosured House
I am in the process of buying a 3 bedroom, 1& 3/4 bath, living room, den with fireplace, dining room and kitchen. The house is approx. 1800 sq. ft. The house has a 2 car garage but the half attached to the house doesn't look like it was ever a two car garage. There is only a single car driveway, no sign of a double driveway and no sign of converting. My question, do I turn the extra room back into a 2 car garage or just install a slab in front of the house and leave the extra rooms. Thanks for your input. Craig
Really hard to give advice without seeing and knowing your intentions. If you are just trying to sell it you will get more per foot for the extra living space. If it really looks stupid as is you may want to add more driveway. I looked at a house just yesterday where almost the same problem exists. I too have not decided how to proceed. The part they converted of the one car garage was actually just to close in the w/d area and to enclose some additional storage area. I probably will move a wall and leave the w/d area enclosed.
