You can file a quit claim deed with a title company or directly at the county where the property is located. The safest and easiest would be to hire a lawyer to do it.
I have drawn up and filed all of my deeds regardless of what kind. It costs me $23.50 for recording, the cost of printing it off of my computer and $5.00 for the notary. It costs my customers, $45.00 to record, $15.00 for the notary, $75.00 document prep fee.
