Quick Deed
i am still married but have been living in a different place for over a year. i want to buy a house in my name but the problem is my name is on the house that my husband lives in. is there anything that i can do? can i get a quick claim deed in his name only? :-?
Is your name on both the mortgage (liability) and the deed (ownership)?
Yes you can quitclaim your interest in the property to your husband, however unless he with the approval of your lender assumes total responsibility for the repayment of the loan you are still obligated to pay.
