I am interested in obtaining preforeclosure lists for Connecticut. Does anyone know where to look or a publication to subscribe too? Thank you.

Try going to your local county recorders office, this could be in your town hall or local courthouse. you can ask them for the list of LIS PENDENS which list all of the people in pre-forclosure. their is a connecticut paper you can subscribe to but at the moment i have forgotten the name of it. try doing a search of the site for Lis Pendens in CT or something of that sort, or if i think of the name i will post it. hope this helps. It is unlikely you will really want a state-wide list. Start with the county you presently live in as that will make it easier to learn the document process and how that maps to specific properties you can go drive by.

After you get the hang of the process and maybe done a few deals you can decide if you want to be driving further. Some deals take months as the sellers are not always clued in to their situation and the solutions. Hence you might end up driving a lot to one place and that is normally better if it is without an hour one way. It just depends on how much time you can invest behind the wheel.
